A new course is underway in Lincoln teaching international students all about life in the modern United Kingdom.
The course is titled ‘Life In the UK Through its Culture and History’.
Students are looking at a diverse range of topics and subjects, including British traditions and celebrations, the history of immigration into the UK and the origins of the flags of the United Kingdom.
The course is taught by Adrian Turner who is a very experienced tutor, having taught all over the world, and who is exceptionally knowledgeable in his subject area.
The students describe the class as friendly, lively and informative and a good way to meet and make friends with others who are new to the area from another country.
One student described what they enjoyed about the course as follows:
“The course is very useful for people coming to this country to help them understand more about the history here and how it affects the way things happen here today”.
The course is open to all but will be of particular advantage to those who are currently learning English as a speaker of another language. The course also has the advantage of working around the school term making it convenient for those with young children to attend.
For more information including fees, or to book a place on the next course beginning in April, please contact the Lincoln office on 01522 522 472.
