From Caesar’s scandalous affairs with noblewomen, to Michelangelo’s social and financial ambitions – a brief chronologically organised overview of Italian art and culture. Through visuals, readings, anecdotes and discussions, this course aims to introduce some aspects of Italy’s inestimable cultural heritage.
